Meet Rae.
Hi, I’m Rae — the face and founder behind Raego Creative.
I started Raego Creative way back when in 2014 (originally named Raego Design) as a creative outlet for my design dreams. I was fresh-faced out of school, having no real idea of which path I wanted to take – but knowing design and photography had to be in the picture.
Today, Raego Creative is a wholistic creative studio offering a range of design and photography services to property, hospitality, retail and lifestyle brands and businesses – backed by my qualifications in design, marketing and communications and extensive boots on the ground experience in these industries.
Where it all started.
My obsession with design and photography began around the age of 10 when I received my first camera and magazine subscription – coupled with countless nights spent trailing behind my mum through home builder display homes she was designing.
It wasn’t long before I was spending my free time designing mock-up fashion and home magazine covers and floor plans for fun (equally lame and inspiring looking back), with an image grabber that never left my side.
What started as a small side hustle with equally small ambitions, today allows me to provide services that let me to live out my passions for design, architecture, food, travel, photography, and crochet – all while bringing a bit of that love for design and creativity into the lives of others (with the help of my two Frenchies, Boston & George).
I have no doubt Raego Creative will continue to grow and evolve, and I’m so glad to have you along for the ride.
My side hustles.
During the pandemic, I figured I should put all my newfound free time to good use. Spurred on by rediscovering my love for crochet for the first time in my adult life, I designed a range of digital crochet patterns, which then extended into selling handmade crochet goodies.
Then, in late 2024, I began designing the invitations and stationery for our upcoming wedding. I loved the end result so much that I wanted to share it – along with other designs – in my own range of invitation templates to help other brides get that custom look for less for their own weddings.
These endeavours have certainly been inconsistently neglected over the years (such is life), but they still bring me a lot of joy today, and I hope to keep expanding on them in the years to come.
