Once you’ve made the exciting decision to go ahead with your website design project with me, that’s where I come in to start working my magic!
Below is a step-by-step guide of how the process generally works. You can also discover more detail about each of these steps below and the expected timeline on the next page.

This includes logo and branding, copy, and images etc
Begin website design concept on Squarespace
First client review
Implement any changes to the site design
Final client review

Expected timeline
Below you can find a summary of the process and expected timeline when undertaking a website design project with me.
The process begins with collating all of the content needed for your new website, including copy, images, and policies. I’ll be there to help guide you in what content you need to arrange, so you won’t need to do it all by yourself!
While we’re finalising the content for your website, I can begin creating the website shell and initial design concept. This is where I will map out any relevant pages, setup site settings, and begin implementing the foundation of your custom website design (logos, colours, fonts etc).
Once the initial design concept is ready, I’ll invite you to view it online via a password protected link. You’ll then have the opportunity to review the website and provide feedback on any changes you’d like made to the site.
I’ll then go ahead and implement any changes you’ve requested where possible, and you’ll have a final chance to review the site before it goes live.
Once I have your approval, I’ll go ahead and make any final changes, complete the website setup and connect your domain so you can go live!

I’ll work with you to craft a website that is both stunning and strategically designed to drive sales. Delivering all the functionality of my Professional Website package, plus all the trimmings required to run a successful online store.

Ongoing fees & management
Subscription fees
Squarespace is a website hosting platform, where you pay a monthly or annual fee for your domain name and to keep your website and its content live.
If you are looking at selling products or services on your website, it’s also important to know there will be additional ongoing fees for this (like there would be if you had a POS system in physical store).
These include transaction fees for each payment processed through your site, and you may also need a higher level Squarespace plan to access the additional functionality you will need on your website.
Depending on your individual situation, I can help you decide which plan will be right for you. I’ll generally start you on the Business Plan, as you can always scale up whenever you need to!
Squarespace Business Plan – $336/year
Transcation fees on products/services – 3%
Squarespace Commerce Basic Plan – $444/year
Transcation fees on products/services – 0%
Squarespace Commerce Advanced Plan – $744/year
Transcation fees on products/services – 0%
In addition to Squarespace subscription and transaction fees, if you are planning to sell products or services through your website you will need to setup a Stripe account to process your payments and deposit them from your website into your bank.

Transcation fees on products/services – 1.7% + $0.3/transaction
(on domestic card transactions)
Transcation fees on products/services – 3.5% + $0.3/transaction
(on international card transactions)
