Gift & Crate Branding.

In 2022, my (now) husband and I decided to start a side hustle. I love gift giving and he loves hospitality, so Gift & Crate was born.

Gift & Crate was a gift hamper business founded from the core foundation of wanting to shine a spotlight on the incredible makers from around the Canberra region, with all the hero products in each hamper made in the ACT.

It was a given that I was going to do all the design work to get the business up and running – and I wanted to create a visual identity that felt distinct, grounded and elevated. I wanted people to truly feel like they were immersed in a special experience when they received and opened one of our boxes.

What we crafted was a brand that radiated a very quiet luxury – feeling calm yet high-end all at once, with brand typography and elements reminiscent of the brands of luxury fashion houses. We wrapped up the business when we moved from Canberra to the Gold Coast in 2026, but it will always hold a special place in my heart.
